A conventional septic tank breaks down waste without oxygen, so the water leaving it still carries organic material. Over time, that material builds a slimy layer in the soil under the drainfield. As the layer thickens, the soil absorbs less water. An aeration system supplies oxygen to the treatment tank, helping aerobic bacteria break down organic waste more effectively. Better-treated wastewater may reduce the organic load reaching the drainfield, allowing some affected soil areas to recover over time.
We install Aquasafe aeration systems sized for 500 to 1,500 gallons per day, with gravity or lift station discharge. Each installation is built to meet local and state health department codes. When the work is done, our crew cleans up and leaves your yard tidy. Septic system restoration through aeration works best when the field lines themselves are still intact. If the field lines are crushed or the soil is badly damaged, we will explain your septic repair and replacement options instead.
Septic Aerator Pump Repair, Maintenance & Replacement
An aerobic system only works while its aerator keeps air moving. A tripped alarm, a silent compressor, or a sudden sewage smell can indicate an aerator problem. Our plumbers service shaft-style, bubbler, drip, and lift station systems, assessing whether worn equipment needs repair or replacement.
Illinois requires new aerobic treatment plants to include a service policy with inspections at least every six months. Our septic and aeration membership includes two maintenance visits each year to continue that schedule. During inspections, we clean compressor filters, check voltage and amp draw, and measure solids in the tank. We also break up sludge mats, flush discharge lines, and maintain records for health department requests. Members receive up to 10% off most septic services and pay no trip charges.
